Animals week: Owl card

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my last January post and this time I am going to share the card made with Mini Owls and Book plate.
Usually I make more layered cards, but with TANDO chipboard we don't need to add more layers as those chipboards are dimensional . So this time I made it with a lot of gold: gold embossing powder, gold paint over the stamped flowers and  gold stamped sentiment. I also painted in gold the white stamped flowers.
All stamps used here are from Two Paper Divas.

Find your yellow brick road art piece: Anything goes week

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new art page project that is full of Tando fanulous products.
This page was already print published in December 2015 issue of  Craft Stamper UK magazine and this is a time to share it in Tando blog.

This is a separate art journal piece that will be made later into a book, but for now I just collect the separates and it's better way to take a good photos of those art pieces.
So this is my version of the Yellow Brick road thing; the road that if you follow it , it takes  you home.
I used a few stencils from Tando Creative with a lot of texture paste to make the background and even heat embossed the yellow bricks. Then I stamped a lot of Rubber Dance flowers from Antique Flowers set over the tissue paper and glued them with Gel Medium. This is the only way to stamp over this very textured background.

The upper butterflies from the same stamp set were stamped over the piece as this part was empty from texture paste. The whole piece was painted with Gelatos, mists and distress inks and a few gorgeous Tando chipboard pieces were added over it: the couple that are looking for their  way and the home on the top.
The waved saying was added with some small round letter stickers around the path.
I really hope  that you like this piece of art! See you soon again with more projects.

Art Journal for anything goes

Hi guys,Liz here for this weeks anything goes theme and I decided to have a go this year at a Art Journal,
I am fairly  new to mixed media so i thought this would be a fab way to try things out,
I have made a cover for it first keeping it fairly flat so it doesn't stop me using the inner pages,
I wanted the Baroque mask to be the main feature so i have kept the background subtle to make her stand out,
I started with some white gesso, when dry i went over with some water based paints and also used some of the purple from a mister but I took a little of the paint out and painted it on with a brush here and there,
I used the Sequin Waste mask with some of the same colours and stenciled it here and there for a little interest,
I then used the Distressed mini Diamond mask with modeling paste and went over with some fluid acrylics when dry,
I used a couple of my stamps in my stash, then stenciled on the Baroque mask using black Gesso,
A few watered down white gesso drips of my paint brush finish it off,

Hugs Liz xx

Anything Goes - Secret Door ATC

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing an ATC for the Anything Goes theme this week. I had some fun with a Small Straight Edged Arch, an Artist Trading Card, small elements from the Tando Mini Range, and some digital collage images and papers to create this Valentine's Day Card for my sweetheart.

I covered the front of the Artist Trading Card with the Huntsman patterned paper from the Gecko Galz Ever After Digital Paper Pack. I then covered a Small Straight Edged Arch with a door from the Gecko Galz Behind Door #1 Digital College Sheet. I carefully cut a door opening between the base arch and the arch frame so that the door can open, revealing a secret message.

I used a piece of clip art from the new Gecko Galz Valentine Wishes Digital Collage Set. I made a "door knob" out of a Heart Button from the Buttons Grab Bag and a girl from the Mini People Set. I colored both pieces with acrylic paint, glued them together, and then glued them to the front of the door as a small handle.

I finished this card with a black pen and some gold dimensional paint.

You can find the pieces I used for this card and more in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Anything Goes! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. You don't have to use any Tando product, but, if you do, you will be entered into the draw twice! There are no limits to how many times you enter, however, we do request that you only enter your piece for 5 challenges. We look forward to seeing your creations!

Thanks for stopping by today!

Anything Goes - Door Hanger

Hello, its the start of another ANYTHING GOES week where we show you a selection of things that we have made that aren't from prompts.  Today I have had a play with the lovely MDF Door Hangers (you can also get them in greyboard).  These are very good value and come in a pack of two.

I used acrylics to made a crackled background.  The image and the lettering have been stamped and water coloured before being glazed to make them pop more.  The reverse is fairly plain...
