Texture Paste Week - Celebrate Arch

Hi! Dana here today sharing the arch I created for the Texture Paste theme this week. I used a portion of my favorite Arabian-Style Layered Arch Frame for the base of this piece. I covered the chipboard with a book page and then used two masks, the Mini Distressed Sequins and the Random Circles, with chalk ink and whipped spackle to add color and depth. I cut a piece from a Grass Flexistrip to run across the bottom of the arch. Before embellishing, I lightly sprayed the arch with white mist.

You can find the products that I used for this piece in the Tando Creative Retail Store! We'd love to see what you create for our Texture Paste Challenge! To be in with a chance of winning some great Tando goodies of your choice, please make a piece based on our weekly themes and link your project, not just your blog, using the inlinkz tool located at the top of the Tando Blog. You don't have to use any Tando product, but, if you do, you will be entered into the draw twice! There are no limits to how many times you enter, however, we do request that you only enter your piece for 5 challenges. We look forward to seeing your creations!

Spotty card and a video

I hope you are enjoying the gorgeous spottiness on here again this week.

Di asked recently if I'd do some videos of some of the things I make for Tando. So here is the card and the video of how I made it:

I have used the ~{Random Circles Mask}~, ~{Sequin Waste Mask}~ and the circles from the ~{Tree and Leaves 3 Part Mask}~.

Pink and Black with Dana

Hi Tando fans! Dana here today sharing a card that I created for the Pink and Black theme this week. I used the Random Circles Mask as a guide to cut some glittered cardstock into a fun patterned background. I kept the circle idea going by cutting the smallest Scalloped Nested Squares Frame in half, painting it black, and adding it to the corners of my sentiment block.

Black & White - Puppy Love Layout with Dana

Hi Tando fans! Dana here sharing a layout for the Black and White Theme this week. I used several of my favorite pieces of Tando Creative chipboard as well as a mask on this page that features an old photo of my Grandmother.

In addition to the lines, my piece of patterned paper also has splatters of color. I played up the random circle design by using the Random Circles Mask as a stencil. I traced around the mask on several areas of my page and colored the design with a black marker.

I added some fluffy clouds for  touch of whimsy. I covered several pieces from the Grab Bag of Clouds with pearl mica flake.

I colored a piece from the Camera Grab Bag, added a pearl and then a coat of glaze for a bit of shine.

I had the base leftover from my Heart Cog Pendant set, and because it was cut from white lined board, only added a light coat of black ink around the edges.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Free For All - To Do List Board

This week  we are having another Free For All week and I have made up the ~{Memo/Chalk Board}~ although I haven't used all of the pieces.

I made a  painty background with Fresco paints and stamps and painted through the ~{Random Circles Mask}~.
At this point I made the border up, but no matter what I did with it, I just wasn't happy so I decided to bin that idea and just continue with the base!
I then added a border and some white painty dots and white pen dots. I painted 'LIST' and doodled a border before adding Glossy Accents.

As I wasn't using the Chalkboard paint, I took one piece from the chalk holder and cut it in half and painted it. I added rub on letters and doodles. I have stuck magnets onto the backs of these and the board itself so I can attach notes. I used the Papermania magnets as they are really strong considering how small they are.

Keep looking on the blog this week to see what the other teamies have made.
