Time to create: Anything goes week

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here today.
Welcome to my second February Tando post and this time it was made for Anything goes week.
So I made this altered heart as my tribute to our mutual creativity.
For me it's always Time to create and this Tando creation is so easy and fun to make!

The heart is one part of Tando printers tray, just one of three and it was used as the base for all other chipboard pieces.
Each and every chipboard piece was painted with DecoArt Crackle paint in the most random way: just add some paint here and there, don't try to cover the whole piece.
Then all acrylics were added over the paint splashes and the paint brushes and the sentiment was added to the finished piece.I used the negative of the sentiment only for this project.

I added paints in a kind " textured way"-using pallet knife or adding a lot of the paint as you can see from this close- up photo.

Love and hearts week with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends!
Welcome to my new Tando post and this week we were challenged to make projects with hearts and love things.
So without any  additional thought I grabbed my most loved Heart shaped printer's  Tando tray and made this project that is full of hearts and love and was just a perfect gift  for Valentine.
As you can see I used tons of Tando goodies and you can see the full list at the end of this post.
Anyway all shapes were painted and them glittered or heat embossed with Stampendous glitter or embossing powders.
The background cardstock is from DCVW, but this is the only products that you can't find in TANDO shop.
Here you can see the hearts painted inside and painted around with DecoArt Copper paint and then glittered over.
The key hole heart and the key are covered with Stampendous embossing powder.

The sentiment was heat embossed with copper powder and the frame was covered with Crackle glaze over the dark red DecoArt paint.

Art of the Heart

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my new Tando project.
This is Anything goes week and for me Anything goes are usually some kind of printers trays. So today is the Hearts' turn.

I didn't make a  full tutorial for this project, but I am going to explain you the steps so you can make the very similar project by yourself.

1. Paint the chipboard heart with acylic paint and cover with one step crackle to get this delicate texture. I used DecoArts media line for this project.
Put the heart frame aside and let it dry.
2. Take a sheet of Mixed Media thick cardstock and outline the spots with a pencil so you can know where to stamp.
Take the Love stamp from Inspired by Stamping set and stamp inside 6 of the spots. You sure can add more, but I wanted to add some inside texture with stencil,so I made 6 stamped spots. Stamp with clear embossing ink and heat emboss with black embossing powder.
3. Use texture paste to make some swirls using a Swirls  stencil in the free spot around the stamped words. Let it dry.
4. Mist the whole piece with a mix of purple and blue mists till you like the  color. Dry in between each color unless you want your piece to become a brown mess.
5. Cover the small book plate chipboard with glue and add blue glitter. Paint the music notes with black paint and glue over the book plate. Add 2 star brads and glue the small plate over the frame so  you can still see the stamped Love word.
6. Embellish with a couple of light purple blings and enjoy your HeArt.

Love and heart ( lots of them) with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my first February post.
This is this " All about love" time of the year. You know, Valentine and everything hearts.
So we have this Hearts and Love week here on Tando blog too.
But who said that hearts should be only red and pink? Not I.
For me love can be in all possible colors and this grungy piece is full of love and hearts and with nothing even close to pink.
I used the back of Mini Heart printers tray as the basic surface. Now I don't have the backing for the heart tray left, but I  think that this thick chipboard made the whole piece standing.
The second  heart is a front piece from Key to my heart mini book set. Now I have an album without the cover. Maybe I will mix the leftovers some day.
Some paper hearts and heart doilies were glued over the basic heart shape, but not much of it is seen now.
The Giovanna - Doilie Tando stencil was used over the second heart and .... Yes, most of it is covered now, but you can still see the stencilled part in the middle.
Then I made this cluster full of clay shapes, flowers, buttons and everything I found in my " trash" box.
The whole piece was painted with black gesso and then with shiny paints and I also added pigments over the top.
This is my very first art piece made in this style and I think that I am in love with the result.
Hope you like it too.
