I have created a card and embellished it using stars from the [Grab bag of Stars]

 and a generous coating of Silver Halo and Silver Tinsel from the [Silver Frantage Jewel Kit]

August Colour Theme - Hope

Hello there!  I just love the mix in this months Colour Theme, they are really sunny and pretty!  I decided to make something bright and sunny for you with them adding a quote that made me smile :-D

I used a 7x5inch canvas as my base and covered it with pieces of old dictionary pages before painting it lightly in the yellow shade.  I love these wings from the WINGS SET and used the other colours from the palette on them.  The heart is from the HEARTS GRAB BAG and I chose to paint it green adding a teensy heart from the MINI RANGE.  I painted up some card to stamp my letters on and added a wire hanger.  Oh and the colours , nearly forgot to show you...

Colour Theme Card

 For this month's gorgeous colour theme, I made a card, again using some pieces from an upcoming card kit:

I used a dry brush to add some acrylic paint directly onto the card blank. When this was dry I used {Criss Cross Mini Stencil} on top of it, moving it and lining it up to cover more space.

I've used {White Modelling Paste} through the {Mini Cogs Stencil} onto a tag. Once this was dry, I used Brushos and water, spraying to make sure it went into all the ridges.

I painted some of the {Mini Arrows} and {Mini Keys} with acrylic paint and doodled on them when they were dry.

I used the black card from the stencil packaging on the back of the tag so it returned to being flat after then hefty watering! Then I assembled the card using scraps, punched circles and stamped greetings.

August 2016 Colour Theme

Hi, Carol with you today to kick off August's colour theme, which is:-

such vibrant colours this month aren't they?

So. in keeping with my 12 colour ATCs of 2016 here is my August atc:-

So, the base is an atc which was given a coat of gesso and then decoArt fluid acrylics added… I then used the same colours to stencil thro' mini stencils - brick and distressed sequins, doodling was then added along with some stamping in black acrylic using Stampendous stamp set - Nathalie Kalbach - marks - these were then doodled on using white pen.  A  butterfly was then given a coat of paint and then some Stampendous "spoonful of pixie dust"… some black paint around the edges and some chitchat words finished off this atc…

However,

Did you see Kate Crane on Hochanda lately using the fabulous Tando substrates and DecoArt paint? I caught all of the programs and was so inspired that along with the above atc I also made these two which my paints were out…

and

I really loved her idea of black butterflies, but, couldn't leave them like that - so added some white pen….

Butterfly Card

For our butterfly theme, I've made a card using another of the soon to be released card packs:

I've inked through the {Mini Flourish Stencil} onto the card blank and used {DecoArt White Modelling Paste} through it onto a tag.

I've painted the {Mini Butterflies} and {Mini Heart} with acrylic paint.

Once dry, I used spray ink and water to colour the tags, making sure that the colour got deep into the grooves of the texture paste. I also splatted the card blank with spray ink.

I've used #Stampendous Frantage packs to decorate the butterflies and heart.
I've stamped and heat embossed the butterflies with Sky Blue Embossing Powder and stamped and embossed the heart with Detail Capri Embossing Powder, both from the {Teal Frantage Jewel Kit}.

I've finished everything off with some doodles and used the black card from the stencil pack to surround the tag.
