July colour theme

 Good Afternoon,

Carol with you today, I'm posting a bit later than usual, but, here is my 7th tag for 2021 - based on our colour themes:-

Morning all it's colour theme on the blog until the 5th July .

Georgeous colours so I had a play.

I created a tag and the colours were screaming out for a Butterfly LOL.

I used my favourite Tando size 8 tag as my base. gave it a quick coat of DecoArt Media white tinting base. I then used watered down DecoArt Chalky finish in Vintage and Keepsake to create watery washes and splatters. Drying between layers to give a faux watercolur effect. Then some stamping added with black versafine ink. The butterfly was stamped and coloured using the same watery washes as the base tag. This was then attached to the tag base. A quick easy project.

Morning all,

 The theme on the blog this week is 'BUTTERFLIES'

You know that I have a passion for this subject matter so this was a no brainer for me.

I used one of the Tando Size 8 Tags and a Piece of Tando Grey Board cut to size to mount the Tag onto to create a panel. A piece of watercolour cardstock was cut to fit the tag and glued into place.

The tag was stamped with the leaves and embossed in gold embossing powder. This was then Water coloured with Lindy's Magicals and Distress Spray Stains and finally a few splatters added with gold paint. 

The flowers were stamped and gold embossed onto vellum and fussy cut. The Butterfly was stamped and given the same water colour treatment as the leaves on the tag.

The flowers and the butterfly were then added to the tag with off cuts of Grey Board to give depth and dimension. Finally a simple sentiment was added as shown.

The panel was given a coat of DecoArt Chalky Finish and the edged by swiping gold wax.

The Tag was then mounted onto the panel with off cuts of grey board to give depth to finish.

I love how this has turned out and the soft dreamy effect I was going for I think I achieved.

Morning All. Thanks for stopping by to see what we are all up to.

The theme on the blog this week is "ANYTHING GOES"

The idea for this project was based around the quote. Enter the Crazy Whimsical Birds.

I used one of the Tando Size 9 tags and adhered a piece of water colour paper cut to size.

This was then spritzed with Distress Ink Sprays in Seedless Preserves and Fossilized Amber.

Next up the Tando Stencil Grid Moroccan was given a good spritz with water then applied to the tag.

This was left to sit for a few seconds before placing a paper towel on top to soak up the excess water. 

Upon lifting the stencil this reveals a faux bleaching effect.

 Some water was then flicked onto the tag and then dried with a heat tool and the edges inked with seedless preserves distress ink.

 The whimsical bird pieces were then painted with DecoArt Chalky finish paints and doodling added with a Uniball Eye Black Pen.

 These were then assembled onto the tag base Along with the stamped Quote.

I then pulled out a Tando extra Large Media Board from my stash

. Stenciling was added with DecoArt Media Modelling Paste and when dry given a coat of DecoArt Chalky Finish in Carbon. 

I then highlighted the raised detail of the stencilling with a white Signo Uniball Gel Pen.

The Tag was then mounted onto the Large Media Board using off cuts of grey board to give depth and dimension to finish.

A few more doodles to the tag were added to complete the project.

I've gone with a Mystical theme for my project and decided to alter an A5 Sketchbook cover.

I have used one of my Layered Tags from Set 2 along with the Tando Minis Stars.

 Some stenciling with crackle paste, stamping and splattering with paint.

Hello Tando-ettes,

How are you all doing?  We're getting there aren't we? I've also chosen to create something in the this weeks colour way - I love that combination of colours. Carol interpreted the colours on Monday with a beautiful tag. If you missed it scroll down to the post under this one 👇

Ive played with a few different mediums in this one, so you'll find Copic markers, Distress Inks, Archival Ink, some stamping with stencils and stamps and my favourite Posca markers, all created on some Tando ATC's.
