Morning all Fiona here with this weeks theme- Anything Goes.
I've gone steampunk this week and believe it or not I have not used a Butterfly in my project.
But I have used something with wings- a Dragonfly LOL.
I went with a Tando size 9 tag layered onto a base cut to size and corners rounded from Tando Grey Board for this project.
I created an inky background with Distress spray stains in Rusty Hinge, Frayed Burlap and weathered Wood onto a piece of A4 300gsm cardstock.
This was then cut to shape and glued to the tag and base board. Next up stamping with vintage stamps with Watering Can Archival ink. The edges of the tag and base board were then inked with Potting Soil Archival ink.
Next up Rusty Patina effects were added with Seth Apter's Metallics Embossing powders to the Tando Small Steampunk parts. Distress embossing Glaze in Rusty Hinge was then added to the Tando Small Compass from the Duo Set.
Tando extra thins harlequin were inked with Weathered Wood Distress ink and then stamped with Watering Can Archival Ink.
A resin Dragonfly which I had cast from a mold was given a coat of DecoArt Media Black Gesso and dried with a heat tool. Green Patina Wax was swiped over the dragonfly with my finger to the raised areas. A piece of string was then added through the tag and tied into a small bow.
Allelements were then layered onto the base board using off cuts of grey board to add depth and dimension to the project.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read.
