Spread Your Wings. Butterfly Tag Plaque- Fiona Randall

Morning all Fiona Here with another Butterfly Tag Plaque.

I used one of the Tando Long Tags which come in a pack of 5 and are great value for money. I traced around the tag onto a piece of white card stock and cut with a craft knife.
Next up I sprinkled some Lindy's Magical powders ( you can use Brushos too) onto a tim holtz acrylic stamping block. Now this was a happy accident as the block has a grid system etched into it so you can line up your stamps and I sprinkled the powders onto this side by mistake as opposed to the smooth side.. I gave the block a spritz of water and then used the block as a stamp to transfer the now dissolved powders onto the tag. This is where the happy accident occurred as you can see it picked up the grid lines of the block too. What a cool effect. This was then attached to the long tag with DecoArt Decoupage Matte Glue.
Next I applied a coat of white DecoArt Media Gesso to two of the Tando Square frames and dried with a heat tool. I then gave them a spritz of water and applied the Lindy's magicals as a watercolur and dried. I then splattered with a brush another colour from the set of Lindy's magicals to both frames and then inked the edges with black archival ink when dry.
I then gave a coat of DecoArt Chalky Finish in Carbon to one of the Tando Mini Keys and added a chinese coin to the top of it as shown.
I then stamped two butterflys from Chocolate Baroqus Butterfly mind stamp set with versafine ink onto a piece of vellum. Then heat embossed with white embossing powder. The butterflies were then fussy cut out. I added a wash of colour to the smaller of the butterflies with Lindy's magicals.
I then glued the frames to to the tag and then glued the key on top of the frames. The butterflies were then glued and layered together and some black gems added to form the body. This was then attached to the key as shown.
I then stamped the sentiment from the Butterfly Mind Stamp set with black Archival Ink and cut out. I then layered onto black card stock and trimmed before applying to the tag base.
I then cut a piece of Tando Grey Board to size and attached a piece of the same white card stock to create a totally white base. I could have painted this but I wanted the same colour base  as the tag.
I am quite pleased how this happy accident turned out.
Thanks for stopping by today
Fiona xx

May we always have Paris: Anything goes with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my Anything goes post!
Today I am going to share my two loves: my love for Tando Printer's trays and my eternal love for Paris.
I design for Tando Creative for 5 years and those printer's trays were and still are my most favourite Tando products. And when you add gorgeous themed paper and fantastic stamps, your Paris becomes a real thing.
I used this Casablanca movie line as my title (a bit of a change as  it was " We 'll always have Paris" and I made it " May we always have Paris"), but it's still about love and memories and .... Paris , of course.
The background was stamped and heat embossed and misted and trimmed and  I had fun to make it.
I used quite a lot of RD stamps to make this background:
The chipboard tray  was heat embossed with a mix of copper and teal powders to get this  aged look.
The window of mini windows Tando set was made in the same way and glued on the bottom.\
I also added Tando's Compass  chipboard piece on the top that was heat embossed with white (dirty white ) powder.
A few Paris stickers were added inside the tray- 3d stickers and photo shot one.All together this piece was misted with teal and pink mists.
And finally my Paris tray was done and was real.
I really hope to be back there in a short time!

Anything Goes - Triple Birdhouse Desk Tidy

Hellllllooooooooooo,

Dawn here with you today for Anything Goes week here at Tando Creative. I'm sharing my take on the fab Triple Birdhouse/Desktop Storage......................

The mini flowers were coloured and cut in half and used to create a border all around the bottom of the houses. A mixture of elements from the Steampunk Wings and Cogs set, the Mini Frames set and the Cogs Grab Bag were coloured and used to create window frames - a perfect fit they were too!

Here is what I used.........

Triple Birdhouse/Desktop Storage

Tando Mini's - Flowers

Tando Minis - Frames

Cogs Grab bag

Steampunk Wings and Cogs

If you fancy playing along with any of our challenges this month please share with us through the link at the top of the page - you will be entered into the monthly draw and be in with a chance of winning some fab Tando goodies.

Many thanks for popping by today

A little birdie told me: minis week with Irit

Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here again and this time it's my new chipboard tray made with Rubber Dance delicious stamps, Tando Creative minis range and a lot of  paints.
The base of this piece is one of my most loved Tando products: Printer's trays. I picked this Rectangle tray for this project and was not even sure what it will be after I finish it.
I used this Post  shaped RD stamp  from Vintage Birds with black pigmented ink from Clearsnap and then heat embossed it with  clear embossing powder. On the top two windows I stamped some  flowers from RD Bold and Beautiful set as the background.

The next step was to paint all small chipboard pieces with paints and to glue them into the windows.
I used frames  from Tando Minis- Frames set  and a  She and He couple from Tando Minis People set.
The keys from Tando Minis - Keys set  ( could be the keys to the hearts or maybe just to the new card/house or whatever) were heat embossed into  gold.
The Little Birdue told me... sentiment  from the same Vintage Birds set was added over the frame to tell that this piece is " something about". Again, it can be given to the new engaged couple, to those who just  got a new house or just because...

Mirror,mirror on the wall...

Helloooo, its Karen here again at last!!!  Now I started this project a few months ago and have been dipping in & out of it while involved in other things.  Its a tarted up Ikea frame I found in a charity shop for 50p....too good a bargain to miss eh?  I found that the Tando twinchies fit very neatly along the edges and, after painting & sprucing, I added lots of little Tando pieces....flowers, butterflies, frames, birds, hearts & a house.  Oh and that large frame is just perfect for the centre!

Sorry that I am in it....now I know how hard is it to photograph a mirror hahaha!!!  Thank you for taking a look....please leave a message to show you have been and don't forget the Tando Challenge will you. HUGS xxx

Christmas star

Not long now before we will all be waking up to the delights that Santa brings.... you do believe in him don't ya ;-)  So in honour of the cuddly man with the white beard I created his very own star.

He likes to have his photo taken and it deserved it's very own Tando mini frame.  Coloured with copic marker and then covered in Tim Holtz crackle paint.

I took out the hearts from the frame and added them on top before painting and adding a bit of bling.

hugs
