3D Week- Triple Arch Layered Frame.

Morning Fiona here with my 3D Week project. I used the Triple Arch Layered frame but cut it apart and added metal hinges to make a  Stand alone hinged shrine.

Once cut apart I assembled and painted the frames with DecoArt Media Fluid Acrylic in Gold Metalic. Crackle glaze was then applied and once dry Media Antiquing Cream in Carbon Black was applied then wiped back to reveal all the lovely cracks. I then created my focal imagery in photoshop and cut to fit the frames. Metal hinges were then added to make the frames a 3d stand alone shrine. To finish a resin cross was given the same treatment as the frames ( omitting the crackle ) and glued on top of the main centre frame. I hope I have inspired you today.

Here is a close up of all that lovely crackle.

Keep your eyes open for more fabulous projects being posted over the next few days.

Hugs Fiona.

3D week - A4 Wallet Store

Storage is always a problem, especially in a craft room :D  So...how useful is this one??????  I have made up this very-easy-to-do *WALLET STORE* .  It is incredibly sturdy and will hold magazines easily and because you decorate it yourself you can really go to town!

Once joined together and painted I added some painted embellishments.  Who can resist the *WHIMSICAL HOUSES *  and those *CURLY TREES* are so pretty!!!!!  Had to add a few little *BIRDS* to finish off.

At the moment this wallet store is only available with the Round Box which looks like this...

But still a very good price for the two.

Take care, Karen xxx

September colour week

Hello, Carol with you today with my colour week project.

Here is our colour palette for this month:-

a lovely autumnal range.

And, here is my 9th board:-

The base is one of the large mixed media boards to which I've added acrylic paint before stencilling using the bubbles stencil.

Some elements from the whimsical bird 2 set were painted using the same colours and added to the base.

September colour theme - twinchie

Hi, its Karen here with this months *twinchie* using the colour combo provided.  This really does look far better in real life :-D

I have used the *mini mask - numbers* to add the '9' in the centre of this.  I also used some coloured modelling paste through a stencil to create the bamboo effect (sadly this is now out of stock).

The colour palette...

Thank you for taking a look, take care, Karen xxx

September Colour Theme - ATCoins by Jane

Hello!

As we welcome in September this week is a new colour theme on the Tando Creative blog...

I have been really keen this year on creating Artist Trading Cards as they are such a fun way to create miniature pieces of art and craft, so I was also keen to have a go at creating on some of the greyboard Artist Trading Coins that are a circular version measuring 2 and a half inches in diameter...

To start I used Americana chalky paint to coat the bases then used some plum coloured paint through the mini flourish stencil.  I also added a touch to the edges as well.  Using some of the Tando mini hearts, I mixed a coral colour using pink and a touch of brown and then once they were painted added stamping with plum archival ink and a script stamp.  To make them more dimensional I added liquid glass and whilst wet sprinkled in dusky pink glitter...

Using the same ink I stamped out three butterflies and coloured them using watercolour markers before coating with clear sparkle pen.  Finally I chose some sentiment stickers that matched in with the colour theme...

Here are the Tando Creative products that I used...

* Greyboard Artist Trading Coins
* Mini Hearts
* Mini Flourish Stencil

Thank you for looking and happy crafting!

September colour theme - Brenda

Welcome. As the days grow shorter and the hot, sultry temperatures we've had this summer fade we start to see the signs of autumn appear. Our colour palette reminded me of those soft grey mornings with the dew on the grass and perhaps some light fog or low cloud. It was not only the colours but the depth and layers in the picture that caught my eye too .......

 ..... and this is what appeared.

For this project I used a Tando mdf tag,  Tando Thins Textures 1 and Mini Leaves 3 embellishments. I also used leaf and foliage stamps from my supplies. The colour is mostly DecoArt media acrylics with some archival and distress inks added in.

I also grunged up and added some natural elements to give a focal point.

If you'd like to see how this came about please pop over to Bumblebees and Butterflies where you will find the process steps and more photos.

I hope you enjoy our colour theme this week.
Keep your eyes open for more fabulous projects being posted over the next few days.

Stand Alone Week - Note/photo Holder

Hello there!  For my 'stand alone' piece I have used up some left over pieces from the pretty *TRIPLE ARCH FRAMES*  I have done a few of these now and was left with several of the insides.

I glued some small and large ones together before decorating with stamping and paint effects.  Before I attached the smaller arches to the larger ones I glued a piece of card behind the smaller one to create a gap.  Then only attached a section of the smaller arches to the larger ones.  I added a heart to the top.

 Thank you for taking a look today.  Please pop back to see how more of the DT interpreted this theme.  Hugs Karen x
