Gothic Art Block- Fiona Randall

Hello I'm back with another Tando Art Box.

This time using the small deep block with a Gothic theme.

I started by gluing the block together and gave it a coat of DecoArt Chalky finish in Carbon. When dried I then gave it a coat of DecoArt Media Ultra Matte Varnish to protect and seal.
I then used Graphic 45 scrapbooking paper to cover the front back and sides of the block.
The text paper design on the front was very apt for the mould that I used a Butterfly with a skull a Rare Oddity indeed.
The butterfly skull mini frame and crucifix were cast in resin and given a coat of DecoArt Media Black Gesso. These were then all swiped with DecoArt Metallic Lustre in Silver Spark to highlight all the detail.
The embelishments were the attached to the block front and sides as shown.
To finish  all sides of the Art Block were swiped with the metallic lustre.
A quick and easy project using minimal supplies.
Thanks for taking the time to stop by and read.
Fiona.
