Hex Tex Tuesday by Julia Baker

I started with two pieces of corrugated cardboard cut from a delivery box.

Tape them together, to add extra strength to the join, add an off cut of card.

Paint with white Gesso.

Cut a piece of fabric slightly larger than the base.  Glue on using thin layer of glue.

Glue excess fabric neatly at the back.

Using a Stamperia mould apply a layer of cream paste.  Leave to dry.

When dry, cut round three hexagons and stick on.

Paint hexagons and frames with Dylusions shimmer paint.

Colour some small beads silver, and glue to three hexagons.

Add some silver texture paste through a stencil to three small hexagon’s.  Leave these to dry.

Going back to the base, add pink sparkle paste through a Tando Swirl Stencil.  Leave to dry.

Stack the hexagons and frames and glue together.  Then glue to the base.

Add some silver charms and beads to finish.

These hexagons are so versatile there is so much you can do with them.  Have fun!
